Company information
knuamd is run by the registered company below. No special licence is required for this line of business; we publish these details for transparency.
Age band declaration
Every account holder is asked once to state whether they are at least 20 years old or not yet 20, and to confirm that this choice is truthful. We store that choice and the time it was submitted. This step does not collect a national ID number or guardian verification documents. We use this information only to run the service in line with our product rules (for example which features are offered on a given login) and to meet transparency expectations under applicable personal data law; it is not a substitute for official proof of age.
Accounts and young readers
We do not ask for or collect personal information specifically about minors who use the service. The only account-related details we process are the email address and the display name as shown by the email provider (for example, the name that appears with a Google or Apple account). That email account may belong to a parent or guardian, or to a young user—depending on who created or owns the address.
Families, schools, and adult-managed access
We design knuamd so that important choices—such as topping up credits, choosing books or courses, and deciding who may read or study what—are made by adults in a clear role (for example a parent, guardian, or educator) on behalf of children or groups they supervise. That includes use at home, at school, and in informal tutoring or study groups. Where the product supports a supervised household, a guardian may use their wallet credits to purchase or grant access for children they supervise and for every informal-learning teacher linked to that same household (each teacher’s personal entitlements for their own account remain separate). Young readers benefit from the library while adults keep oversight transparent and consistent with how each family works.
Affiliate, influencer, and sharing
Participation in affiliate rewards and the influencer program is intended for adults who can enter into these arrangements responsibly. We do not offer those programs to child accounts as the contracting party. If a young reader wants friends or classmates to discover knuamd, we ask that a parent, guardian, or teacher handles any tracked links, codes, or promotional activity—so expectations stay clear and everyone involved can be comfortable. In Profile, you may mark this login as a child reader account; our systems then block enrolling in these programs and earning as a referral partner for that login. Business-to-business affiliate arrangements between organizations are not offered in the current product.
Guardian and teacher materials on catalog items
Where we publish them, individual books or courses may carry an educator-facing annex: for example study orientation, informal teaching notes, or guidance for guardians on how to support reading at home. These annexes are meant to help adults supervise and teach responsibly. They are not a channel to market directly to identifiable children, and they do not replace professional safeguarding or formal schooling decisions made by families.
Insights, statistics, and supervised learner data
For adults with an approved supervising role in the product, we may present dashboards and exports that summarise how learners in their care use knuamd—for example titles opened, course activity, skills or scores where the product provides them, and trends over time. For supervised minors we aim to keep personal identifiers to what is proportionate for that purpose (such as account email, display name from the provider, declared age band where collected, and activity derived from using the service). We do not sell identifiable supervised-child records for marketing, and we do not use them to target direct marketing at identifiable children. We may use aggregated or de-identified statistics across many users—including adults—for internal research, product improvement, or high-level market analysis, at our team’s discretion and subject to applicable law.
Feedback, in-product support, and issue reporting
We provide forms so guardians, teachers, and other signed-in users can send quality feedback or describe usage problems to our operations team; submissions are stored for triage and improvement. We may introduce or extend in-house chat or messaging with administrators for account and service questions; where available, such threads may be retained for audit, abuse prevention, and service quality. These tools are for product support—not emergency services or professional legal/medical advice. You can also reach us by email using the contact address on this page.
Payment receipts
For purchases and credit top-ups, knuamd issues payment receipts only—for individuals and, where the checkout or top-up flow offers it, receipts in a company name using the details you provide. The operator is not registered for VAT and some product categories may fall outside VAT; we therefore do not issue statutory VAT sales documents. Request a company receipt where the product allows it, before completing payment.
